Keep your finger on the pulse
Set up a Google alert and be notified whenever anything happens in your niche.
Check if anyone is stealing your content withCopyscape, a great free tool to check and see if any of your unique content has been ripped off. They have some neat banners which are a deterrent as well.
Google Trends
Google has done it again – this brilliant tool is really essential when you are in the process of researching a new market you are interested in getting into. In the screen below I typed in the terms‘panic’ and ‘anxiety’ as if I am researching that market. The results give me a comparison over timefor these search terms. I can also refine the search by country or even city if I wish. I should not have to explain how useful this is! Play around with the tool as it really will pay off in the long run
Big Boards
If you want to find forums in your niche you can always simply do a search ‘“your niche” forums’ or you can go to Big-Boards. Big-Boards tracks the most active message boards and forums on the web.
They currently have 2289 message boards in their database! Their search function is very handy as it allows you to pinpoint exactly what you are looking for. It’s a definite time-saver that will help you in your marketing.
Making videos and Audio
Using video on your sales page is almost becoming obligatory these days. It’s a proven fact that using video, as opposed to straight text, in your sales copy dramatically improves your chances of success.Now, on the face of it you may be thinking that this is difficult and expensive. Well, it’s not. Thanks toCamstudio you can easily make quality video for your sites in a matter of minutes and with virtually noexpertise in video production. Lots of people are doing this now so give it a try.
For Windows computers I use Camtasia and for Mac I used ScreenFlow, but both are paid tools (see Paid section). An excellent alternative is Camstudio, and it’s free. You can get a ‘Gold’ version for $29
